Salient Retrospection
2015
This series is a continuation of the Seeking Happy process, but has nods to all the previous work as I allow the symbolism of the colors, water & fabric and imagery to help me tell my story. Compelling and beautiful images that resonate with my dark side and memories that keep me grounded. Combining these elements onto a single canvas allows me to assemble juxtaposing ideas that more accurately represent a snapshot of the memory itself: a complex combination of that precise moment mixed with a parallel or opposing emotion.
